LEIF LARSON
Since graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2005, Leif Larson has been creating, showing and selling his art work across the United States. He’s shown in galleries, museums, universities, and public buildings all over Wisconsin, and in galleries and public buildings in New York, Northern and Southern California, Illinois, and Arkansas. His acrylic paintings, drawings, water colors, and murals deal with many different subjects involving human and animal behavior, human made objects and spaces, nature, light and color relationships. His work is represented by Gallery Five 3 Gallery in Laguna Beach, CA., The Art Collective in Rodgers, AR., Real Tinsel Gallery in Milwaukee, WI and the Riverwalk Art Center in Fond Du Lac, WI.
“Before all this happened, I was working on a series of paintings for a gallery show called ‘We Need Our Space,’” said Larson, “The paintings were all about the relationships people have with the spaces they inhabit, how we value our personal space and how we need our distance. Then all of a sudden this happened. Our lives changed overnight and we were all forced to confront what it means to be confined to our homes. Everything I had been working on suddenly took on a new meaning and I had this weird thing to wrestle with — how I could use this time to make a statement about the crisis we’re living through, while also remaining an optimist who adds some hope to the world as an artist.”
Larson sees crisis as a condition that can bring out the best in people, including artists.

Olga Nikitina
Born in 1998, Olga Nikitina is a Russian painter involved in the growing field of underwater painting. After moving to Egypt and working as a scuba diver instructor in the Red Sea, Nikitina fell in love with the vibrant corals and marine life in contrast to the surrounding desert landscape. Totally immersed in the marine environment, Nikitina paints using a special canvas cover and non-toxic oil paints, thanks to Andre Laban, the original pioneer of the practice and the engineer of Jacques Cousteau’s team.
She hopes that her work will inspire others to appreciate these treasures, spread awareness about the environment changes, and protect them for future generations to come.
